Congratulations ... Four students from Madison Middle School are this year's receipients of the 2008 WV Golden Horseshoe. This award celebrates the top students of WV History throughout the state. The winners are: Andrew Adkins, Zach Paitsel, Jonathan Jeffrey, & Jasmine Scragg. Mr. Austin Price is their 8th grade WV Studies instructor. The students will receive their Golden Horseshoes and be "knighted" in a ceremony at the State Capitol on May 9th.
Math Field Day Winner ... Congratulations to Samantha Garrettson, 6th grade student at Ashford-Rumble Elementary School, who recently won 2nd place at the West Virginia Math Field Day Competition. This year Samantha was the 1st place winner grade 6 at the Boone County Math Field Day and was also a successful competitor at the regional level. Way to Go! We are very proud of you!
