All BCS schools and offices will be closed tomorrow,November 11th, in observance of Veteran's Day.
We have just been informed that at 2:00 pm, a power outage will occur at Madison Elem. A plan is in place to keep students safe, and instruction will continue. Buses will dismiss at normal time (3:40 p.m). There will be no extended day. If you choose to pick your child up after 2:00 p.m., there will be no penalty for their sign out. We will have access to call out on our emergency landline, and we will have radio access to the central office and emergency mgt., but calls will not be received on our regular 369-2241 phone line. Parents will need to come to the front door and a staff member will assist you.
Reminder: Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) meeting tomorrow at 5:30 at Scott High, for all schools in the Scott attendance area. Please come out and support Madison Elementary.
Reminder that there's no school for BCS students tomorrow (October 17) due to Faculty Senate and Professional Development.
A Scott attendance area LSIC meeting will be held at Scott High on Tuesday Oct. 21st at 5:30 p.m. Madison Elementary (along with MMS, Scott, Brookview, and Ramage) will make spotlight presentations about the current state of academics and the needs for our schools. We'd love to see you there!

The Boone Backpack Buddy Program is now taking 2025 summer applications for students living in Boone County, WV!

The WVDE's Academic Showdown for Region 4 was held last Friday at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. Sherman High School's team placed second and will advance on to the finale on April 30th in Charleston! #Congratulations #RollTide

Coastal Wilds-Barn Hill Preserve visited Brookview Elementary School yesterday. Students learned about animals from different parts of the world, and they had a blast! #GoHuskies
