Good evening! On Friday, students received their 1st nine weeks report card along with an attendance summary report for the same time period. Please review both items with your child. Student success is directly related to regular attendance and Sherman Jr. High is committed to assisting and supporting families with ensuring that students come to school on time, every day! Students who return on Monday with a signed report card or a note in their agenda indicating that a parent or guardian reviewed it, will receive an anchor remover. If you have any questions regarding your child's academic progress or attendance, please call the school.
Sherman Jr. High is celebrating Red Ribbon Week with guest speakers and drew-up days! We are looking forward to seeing all students participate throughout the week! On Friday, students may wear costumes to school but will not be permitted to bring any toy weapons and may not wear masks/face coverings in class. However, students will be allowed to wear masks, etc. at the end of the day activities in the gym! Happy Halloween and Rival Week--Roll Tide!

On Tuesday, Sherman High School Computer Science students visited the Jr. High and demonstrated flying drones and operating robots! They shared details about design and all of the opportunities associated with computer science and programming. Big thanks to Mr. Herron for arranging this opportunity for our students. We all enjoyed the presentation!

PARENTS: Check out the first two months of Capturing Kids' Hearts Parent Newsletters! The newsletters contain ideas for engaging your students about the character traits of empathy and self-direction. Invite your student to share Good Things at home and make it a daily family practice!
