Van Jr. Sr. High School has received an award for academic excellence and performance on the state’s balanced scorecard assessment. The school, as well as its specially-noted administration, staff, educators, community, and student body, was praised for exceeding state standards in a letter that was sent to Principal Jennifer Dent. The State Superintendent of Schools, Michele Blatt, extended a heartfelt congratulations, noting that the collective effort was noteworthy and the achievement exemplary.
