Coaching Menu

The poster is organized into labeled boxes, each describing a type of coaching service:  Schedule an Observation: Teachers can visit another classroom to gain new strategies and receive pre- and post-observation support. Science of Reading Support—Foundational: Provides help with core reading instruction, including modeling strategies and offering feedback on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Lesson Plan Design: Assistance with creating standards-aligned lesson plans to improve student engagement and outcomes. Lesson Feedback: Offers non-evaluative feedback with suggestions, reflection time, and optional follow-up support. Video Reflection: Teachers can record their lessons using a SWIVL device or phone to reflect on their teaching. Small Group Support: Guidance on improving small-group instructional methods. Science of Reading Support—Organizational: Helps strengthen systems such as routines, materials, scheduling, and data-informed decisions. Dig into Data: Support with analyzing assessment data, tracking progress, planning next steps, and adjusting instruction. Strategies: Collaborative planning and implementation of research-based instructional strategies. Co-teaching: Opportunities to observe co-teaching experts and learn effective practices. Support: General coaching meetings for brainstorming and problem-solving classroom challenges. Number Talks: Specialized support for short daily math routines that build fluency, accuracy, and flexible problem-solving.  Each section includes a brief description and a simple icon representing the service.
