Boone County Schools is always looking for new bus operators and is a great place to work! If you think you might be interested in becoming a bus operator for Boone County Schools, here are some things you need to know:

• Our next class will be in September 2025. You must apply and be invited to attend.

• No prior CDL driving experience is required.

• You will receive a Class B CDL license from us.

• All training provided in house at our Rock Creek bus garage.

• All costs incurred by the applicant are reimbursed once you're hired.

• Excellent trainers

• Starting daily rate of pay: $157.75. (Educational attainment level could increase this)

• Opportunities for additional pay with midday runs, after school runs, field trips, extracurricular trips, summer school, etc.

• All new hires will begin as a substitute bus operator.

• Once a driver gets a full-time position, they would then be eligible for health insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits!
