Due to railroad crossing closures in the Van area, Van Elementary will operate on a Non-Traditional Learning Day for Thursday, May 21st. Students will not report and complete day 5 of their NTID packet. Staff should coordinate with administration to establish reporting expectations.
Related to the power outage this morning, communications have been affected limiting phone and internet capabilities at Scott High School. BCS Technicians are onsite and working to restore the service. The School Administration would like to remind seniors that all Senior Walks are on-time and on-schedule as previously announced.
From treating scraped knees to responding in emergencies, managing medications, comforting anxious students, and supporting the overall well-being of our schools, our nurses are often the calm in the middle of chaos. Their impact reaches far beyond the clinic walls.
To all of our Boone County Schools nurses: thank you for the care you provide, the relationships you build, and the difference you make in the lives of children and families every day. Your dedication helps keep our schools safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
Please join me in celebrating and thanking our amazing school nurses for all they do!
Our teachers show up each day with purpose, resilience, and a deep commitment to our students. They are the steady presence in our classrooms, the encouragers in moments of doubt, and the driving force behind student success.
From my office, I offer my sincere appreciation for the work you do and the difference you make and invite our entire Boone County community to join us in recognizing and celebrating our teachers this week. A simple “thank you” can go a long way.
Let’s come together to show our appreciation for those who invest in our children every single day.
Allen Sexton, Superintendent
Happy Principal Appreciation Day to the outstanding school administrators of Boone County Schools!
Our principals set the tone in every building—showing up each day with purpose, leading with integrity, and keeping students at the center of every decision. The work isn’t always easy, and it often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt in every classroom.
Because of your leadership, we continue building a culture of trust and excellence across our schools.
Thank you for all you do for our students, staff, and communities. We appreciate you today and every day.
As we head into Spring Break, I want to take a moment to thank you for the hard work, dedication, and support you show each day across Boone County Schools. Our students continue to grow and succeed because of the strong partnership between our schools, our families, and our community.
I hope this break provides everyone with an opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Take this time to step away, relax, and be present in the moments that matter most.
When we return, we will begin an important stretch of the school year. Let’s come back ready to finish the year strong, supporting one another and keeping our focus on student success.
Wishing you all a safe, restful, and enjoyable Spring Break!
